The new rink is in Dixon Park at 1300 Dixon St. in Fredericksburg. The rink was made possible through a partnership between the Washington Capitals and the City of Fredericksburg, with generous support from the Fredanthropist program and the Fredericksburg Youth Roller Hockey organization. Many of the supporters of the rink were on hand Sunday to celebrate the opening and receive well-deserved recognition.

The new rink was constructed with a custom Riley Manufactured board system and a NOVA Play II flooring surface. The rink also features a Daktronics scoreboard with the Capitals logo. In addition to supporting the new rink construction, the Washington Capitals are providing hockey equipment and teacher curriculum to all four City schools’ physical education departments.
