UMW hosting NCAA tournaments this weekend

The University of Mary Washington will host opening rounds of the NCAA Division III volleyball and men’s soccer tournaments this week on campus. 

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors/military/students, and free for children 2 and under.

Volleyball games are scheduled Nov. 10-12 in Ron Rosner Arena, with the UMW home team’s first game at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10. Visitor parking will be available in the Alvey Drive parking deck, located adjacent to the gymnasium.

Men’s soccer starts up on Saturday, Nov. 12, with Mary Washington hosting Marymount University at 11 a.m. at the Battleground. Visitor parking will be available along College Avenue, in the parking lots adjacent to the stadium, as well as in the lot adjacent to the facility plant, near the stadium.

The Eagles soccer team captured its 12th CAC/C2C Championship last weekend, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Women’s volleyball won the C2C Championship on their home court last weekend. This 2022 championship is the third in this history of the program, with other wins coming in 1991 and 2016.
