Webinar being offered for Restaurant Revitalization Fund

May 5, 2021 | Fredericksburg Business News | Small Business Administration

The Fredericksburg Economic Development & Tourism office is partnering with the UMW Small Business Development Center to host a webinar next week on the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) geared toward City restaurant owners and other eligible businesses.

The webinar will be on Wednesday, May 12 at 9 a.m. It will be led by Martin Short, Lead Economic Development Specialist & Public Information Officer for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Virginia-Richmond District Office. He will provide the latest details and information on the RRF program while answering questions live.

We suggest you make an account in the SBA portal (restaurants.sba.gov) if you are interested and prepare questions for the webinar. Register here for this RRF webinar.

The SBA portal opened Monday for applications. Although $28.6 billion seems like a lot of money, these funds will go fast when considering the impact of the pandemic on a national level. Funds will be awarded first-come, first-serve, with priority being given for the first 21 days to women-owned, veteran-owned, and socially and economically disadvantaged businesses.
