City launches Fredanthropist program

The City of Fredericksburg has launched a philanthropic program to partner with businesses and individuals to make a positive impact in our community through financial contributions.

City businesses honored at annual event

Four Fredericksburg businesses were honored last night at the Economic Development Authority's annual Business Appreciation Event at the Courtyard by Marriott downtown. Curitiba Art Café, Virginia Partners Bank and ILM Corporation received Excellence in Business awards. The fourth, Roxbury Farm & Garden Center, received a Lifetime Achievement award.
Fredericksburg region pursuing data centers 

Fredericksburg and the surrounding counties are positioning themselves to attract a slice of the fast-growing data center market.

Work to begin soon on rink

Businesses that are interested in advertising on the soon-to-be-constructed roller-hockey rink in Dixon Park are encouraged to contact us now to secure your space on the rink-side dasher boards. (Limited number of boards will be available.) The rink is a collaboration between the City of Fredericksburg and the Washington Capitals.

City launches archaeological resource

A new and interactive story map entitled "Out of Sight, Out of Mind: Archaeological Resources in Fredericksburg, Virginia" has been launched by the City of Fredericksburg. It is a resource for those seeking to understand the value of our buried history and the City's plan to protect these finite historic resources.   

SlideFXBG returning in August

Last year's wildly successful and popular event, SlideFXBG, will be back in town on August 31st -- the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. This year's event will be held on William Street, with the start of the slide being set up a few feet below College Avenue and ending at Sunken Road.
