The monthly deeds transfer report includes sales of commercial properties in Central Park, downtown and on Lafayette Boulevard. Coming soon: A new and improved way to transmit this information.

Winter Restaurant Week to run Jan. 18-27

Restaurants will feature meals at: $10.19, $20.19 and $30.19. People who dine at five or more participating restaurants can qualify to win $250 worth of downtown gift cards. Forms can be picked up at the Visitor Center or downloaded from the below website.

Main Street receives check from Oktoberfest

Capital Ale House last month presented Fredericksburg Virginia Main Street with a check for $7,736.67, which the restaurant generated from admissions proceeds from last year's annual Oktoberfest event. Capital Ale has donated the proceeds to Main Street for several years.
2019 Winter & Spring Activity Catalog now online

The Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation and Events Department's NEW Winter & Spring Activity Catalog is now available online. Hard copies are available for pickup at the Dorothy Hart Community Center.


Collers International acquires CBRE Group Inc.

The local commercial real estate office at 523 Sophia Street is now under the Colliers brand.

City to kick off branding effort

The City is preparing to develop a brand image and will work with Hub Ltd. on the project. The firm will be in Fredericksburg on Jan. 16-17, and the public is invited to attend meetings to find out what's ahead and share perspective on the City. 

Parking promotion still under way downtown

Through January 31, downtown Fredericksburg shoppers and diners will be permitted to park for up to four hours in on-street parking spaces that usually have two-hour limits.

The planned Fredericksburg stadium is one of four new Minor League Baseball stadiums scheduled to open next year in the U.S.

Tapa Rio opening in Don Moncho location

The Don Moncho restaurant at Sophia and Amelia streets is now closed and will reopen later this month as Tapa Rio. The restaurant will feature small plates and oven-roasted cuisine with an Italian flare.
