Agreements help three businesses expand in the city
Fredericksburg City Council this week approved Technology Zone incentive agreements with three companies that are expected to bring nearly 200 professional jobs to the city. The performance agreements involve QRC Technologies, IST Research and ILM Corp., which plan investments in the City totaling about $9 million. Combined, the companies will occupy about 43,000 square feet of office space.

Liberty Place Revises Plan
Fredericksburg City Council this week approved a Memorandum of Understanding that will help finalize a public-private partnership between the City of Fredericksburg and Liberty Place Partners LLC. The agreement will give the public free access to the majority of a planned 303-space parking garage along the William Street corridor downtown. It will also help plans advance for Liberty Place, which now includes nearly 90,000 square feet of commercial space.

Favorite photos of Fredericksburg and why Fredericksburg is delicious contest
Fredericksburg EDT in July sponsored a
Fredericksburg Food Cooperative contest that involved people posting their favorite picture of Fredericksburg to social media. Contestants also wrote why they think Fredericksburg is delicious. Fifty-seven people entered, and EDT picked the five winning entries, which were announced last week at a Food Cooperative happy hour. Each of the five winners received a free membership to the Food Cooperative. Hence the contest was a good way both to promote all the great things about Fredericksburg on social media and also grow the ranks of the Food Cooperative

A Spotsylvania resident praised our Historic Downtown after hosting a meeting in Fredericksburg. The feedback that John Nicholls received from the attendees who are located in several different states gave him reason to praise our Downtown businesses.
