A process will occur over the next two months to rezone the 90-acre Hylton Venture property to Planned Development-Medical Campus. The property, which is on the east side of Interstate 95 at Exit 130, is among the candidates to house what could be the largest VA outpatient clinic in the country. Fredericksburg's Rising Sun Tavern saw a 42 percent year-over-year increase in gift-shop sales in February, according to Washington Heritage Museums Executive Director Anne Darron. Darron attributed the increase to the addition of a Square Point of Sale register system that was funded in part by a $1,200 Fredericksburg EDA grant last fall. The system was also added at the Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop.
