Fredericksburg company wins big contract, makes Inc. list

IST Research, which is headquartered at 401 Hanover Street, has been awarded a $48.3 million contract by the Department of the Army and has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for the third-consecutive year. Congrats to IST!

Sponsorship opportunities available for new rink

The planned roller-hockey rink at Dixon Park is a partnership between the City of Fredericksburg and the Washington Capitals. Ground-breaking is planned for October. We are currently seeking sponsorships for the rink.

Community meeting scheduled for stadium

The City of Fredericksburg and Potomac Nationals will hold a community meeting on the proposed multi-purpose stadium at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Dorothy Hart Community Center at 408 Canal Street. This will be an opportunity for the public to weigh in on the proposed stadium project.  

Turn lanes now open on Route 3

The three new left-turn lanes from eastbound Route 3 to northbound Interstate 95 opened early yesterday morning.

Downtown planning process to kick off Sept. 11

The City is beginning the process of creating a Small Area Plan for downtown and the surrounding residential neighborhoods. The public is invited to join us as we kick off our effort at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Planters Bank Building, 1001 Princess Anne Street.
