Quarles Petroleum makes acquisition

Fredericksburg-based Quarles Petroleum has purchased Mechanicsville-based Colonial Fuel Oil, a petroleum distribution business.

Hair salon coming to William Street

A hair salon offering a variety of services is planned at 417 William Street in downtown Fredericksburg. Joshua Lawrence Salon will be a partnership between Joshua Bethka and Joshua "Lawrence" Henderson. It will open this spring.

UMW's Great Lives lecture series kicks off tonight

Officially known as the William B. Crawley Lecture Series, the popular four-month program examines the lives of historical figures told through lectures by nationally prominent biographers and authors.   
FRA holding event with Dominion Energy

The Fredericksburg Regional Alliance has partnered with area economic development offices to provide local defense contractors with an opportunity to meet with Dominion Energy to learn about doing business with Dominion, procurement opportunities and more.
