Fredericksburg experiencing 'a building boom of sorts'

This Virginia Business article lays out the rapid growth that the Fredericksburg region has been experiencing, with more growth anticipated. The region is now considered part of the Northeast Megalopolis, a string of cities and dense suburbs along the Interstate 95 corridor that is home to about 55 million people.

Strangeways uses City's tourist-oriented signage program 

The latest business to work with the Department of Economic Development and Tourism on the Tourist-Oriented Directional Signage (TODS) Program was Strangeways Brewing. In order to give customers another way to find their location at 350 Lansdowne Road, Strangeways Brewing had a TODS Program sign erected on Blue & Gray Parkway just past the Battlefield Industrial Park.

Fredericksburg firm makes adoption-friendly list

Finalists, judges announced for Made in FredVA contest

The three finalists and three judges have been announced for the fifth-annual Made in FredVA business startup competition. Each finalist will have ten minutes to pitch his or her business ideas to a panel of local entrepreneurs Nov. 2 at the Inn at the Old Silk Mill.
