Fredericksburg's per-diem rate, which dictates how much a federal government employee can spend on a hotel room per night, rose again this year from $91 to $93. The new rates, which are set by the General Services Administration for each fiscal year, went into effect October 1. The GSA sets the per-diems by reviewing average daily rates at area hotels.
