Fredericksburg considering energy-efficiency program
A proposed ordinance would allow energy-efficiency upgrades in the City of Fredericksburg to be financed through a program called Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE). City Council could take action on the ordinance in the coming weeks. Arlington County is currently the only Virginia locality with a C-PACE program. This program could be used as part of the stadium financing package.

City seeking engineering services for possible road conversion
The City wants to document the impact of a proposal to convert parts of Fall Hill Avenue, Washington Avenue and Maury Street from their current status as one-way streets to two-way streets.
Fredericksburg City Council this week took up three land-use-related matters involving the planned multi-purpose stadium in Celebrate Virginia South. Council is scheduled to vote on these and other stadium-related matters November 13.
The Virginia Central Railway (VCR) Trail extends 2.7 miles from downtown Fredericksburg to a trailhead near the Idlewild neighborhood. Another 0.64 miles of the old railway bed extends beyond the Idlewild trailhead to I-95. The City is working on a project to extend the trail.

The U.S. Treasury this week released the proposed regulations and additional guidance for the Opportunity Zone program, a new investment program for which more than half of the City of Fredericksburg qualifies. There is now a 60-day public-comment period.
