Main Street rolls out loan program

Fredericksburg Virginia Main Street has started a revolving-loan fund to offer financial incentives and capital to downtown entrepreneurs and/or property owners. Details of the new program can be found by clicking the below link and going to "Zero Interest Loan Program."

Potomac Nationals announce partnership with SimVentions; ticket sales going strong

Two updates regarding the Fredericksburg stadium project:
  • On Saturday, the P-Nats and SimVentions announced a partnership that will allow veterans and active military to attend every Sunday game for free. The P-Nats have previously announced partnerships with Rappahannock Goodwill Industries and Mary Washington Healthcare. Read release about SimVentions sponsorship.
  • The team also announced that it has sold 1,000 season tickets for the 2020 season, and that just two full-season suites remain. The team is still looking for major naming-rights sponsors as well. Read release about ticket sales.
Fun Land breaks ground on new track

Fredericksburg Mayor Mary Katherine Greenlaw, dubbed "the queen of Fun Land," helped the Central Park business break ground last week on Virginia's first multi-level go-kart track.

Local bank to enter into merger

Virginia Partners Bank is expected to become an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of Salisbury, Md.-based Delmar Bancorp through an exchange of shares in an all-stock transaction in the second quarter of 2019.

City issues RFP to review tourism operation

The City of Fredericksburg has issued an RFP for proposals to establish a contract with an experienced firm to conduct an analysis of the City's tourism operation.

Parking promotion under way downtown

Through January 31, downtown Fredericksburg shoppers and diners will be permitted to park for up to four hours in on- street parking spaces that usually have two-hour limits.
