Final part of agreement approved

City Council on Tuesday approved the final two agreements to pave the way for construction of a 5,000-seat stadium for the Potomac Nationals in Celebrate Virginia South.

Pens made out of historic tree now at Visitor Center
 
We are now selling beautiful handmade pens created from the large sycamore tree that not long ago was taken down near the corner of Princess Anne and Amelia streets in downtown Fredericksburg. Come check them out -- we are at 706 Caroline St. The pens cost $25.99 each.

City issues RFP for fiber co-location

The City of Fredericksburg intends to install underground conduit and fiber for its internal network along Route 3, William Street and Plank Road. The City seeks to identify entities that may be interested in co-locating their facilities along this route.  

Parking promotion under way downtown

Through January 31, downtown Fredericksburg shoppers and diners will be permitted to park for up to four hours in on- street parking spaces that usually have two-hour limits.

The University of Mary Washington has gained accreditation for its College of Business from AACSB International. UMW is one of only five U.S. schools to receive accreditation this year.
