City starting downtown shuttle service

The City of Fredericksburg will offer a free downtown shuttle service on Friday and Saturday evenings between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. throughout this summer.

Celebrate Virginia South auction today

More than 200 acres in Celebrate Virginia South are scheduled to be auctioned today at 1 p.m. in City Council Chambers, which are on the Hanover Street side of City Hall.   

EDA auctioning Caroline Street paintings

The six paintings that hung along Caroline Street for much of the past decade are being sold in a sealed-bid auction that will raise funds for future EDA public-art investments. The paintings are now on display in the Fredericksburg Visitor Center. Bids are due June 7 (one week from today!).

What's coming to the ARB next month? 

Several projects will be in front of Fredericksburg's Architectural Review Board on June 11, including a revised One Hanover design, a new walk-up window at the 25 30 Espresso Shop and several business signs.

EDT's Victoria Matthews led a tour of Fredericksburg on Tuesday for French travel agents visiting destinations in Washington, Virginia and Maryland. The Fredericksburg tour included lunch at The Confident Rabbit, a visit to the James Monroe Museum and a trip aboard Trolley Tours of Fredericksburg.
