What's getting built in the 'Burg?

Click the below link for the City of Fredericksburg's construction report from January. It shows permits being issued for several new homes as well as a medical facility at 2306 Plank Road (Primary and Urgent Care -- click here for more detail on that).
32 businesses participate in program to promote downtown art and culture

Thirty-two downtown Fredericksburg businesses participated this year in the City's annual Arts and Cultural District (downtown) incentives program. The program enables qualifying businesses in the district to receive a reduction on their BPOL taxes if they are an art-related business or a non-art business that hosts year-round rotating art exhibits. The application window has now passed for a 2018 incentive, but applications will be accepted again late this year for a 2019 incentive.

Winter Restaurant Week a big hit

Downtown Fredericksburg's Winter Restaurant Week, which was held January 12 through January 21, led to nearly 16,000 plates being served by the roughly 30 participants. Summer Restaurant Week will be in August. Check back for details!

Made in FredVA returning this fall; fundraiser event planned Feb. 23 

An evening of networking, refreshments and fun will accompany a Feb. 23 reverse-raffle event organized by the Fredericksburg Area Chamber of Commerce's Next Generation of Business Leaders. The event will raise funds for Next Gen's annual Made In FredVA competition this fall.
