City Council Sets Highly Competitive Tax Rate for Data Centers

City of Fredericksburg's pursuit of data centers took a significant step forward Tuesday night when its City Council voted unanimously to set a highly competitive tax rate for that business category.   

Fredericksburg Christmas Parade seeks 2019 sponsors

The Fredericksburg Christmas Parade is a favorite community tradition in Downtown. The event's mission is to provide a traditional community celebration with a focus on safety and accessibility. The Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation & Events Department is issuing a call for Christmas Parade Sponsorship proposals, which are being accepted April 22, 2019 through May 20, 2019.

SlideFXBG returning in August

Last year's wildly successful and popular event, SlideFXBG, will be back in town on August 31st -- the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. This year's event will be held on William Street, with the start of the slide being set up a few feet below College Avenue and ending at Sunken Road.
