Stadium project wins final approvals; naming contest announced

The P-Nats received the final required approvals this week from the EDA and City Council, and also launched a name-the-team contest. 
 
Hospital wins recognition for cardiovascular program

Mary Washington Hospital recently celebrated its recognition as one of the "50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals" in the nation by IBM Watson Health. No other Virginia hospitals made the cut.

Riverfront Park, more on ARB agenda 

The April 8 Architectural Review Board meeting will include plans for various elements of Riverfront Park as well as several other downtown projects.

City selects DMO Proz for tourism analysis

The consulting firm, which has done similar work for numerous Destination Marketing Organizations throughout the U.S., will analyze various facets of the City and regional tourism program. The company was selected following an RFP process, and City Council formally endorsed the contract Tuesday.

City issues RFP for VCR Trail bridge

The City plans to construct a pedestrian bridge over Hazel Run to complete its portion of the VCR Trail. Sealed bids for the project will be received by the City's procurement office until 2 p.m. April 10.
