Fredericksburg City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved two proposed economic development projects planned in the City.

The first is The Barking Barley, which is planned at 1513-1517 Olde William St. (former location of Ground Keepers). The Barking Barley will be a dog-friendly taproom with outdoor seating and a dog-play area. The business owners are Dan Craddock and Travis Stoner, and the property owner is Augustine Ave LLC. More details are here.

The other is the Silver Companies’ Neon project at 3050 Gordon W. Shelton Blvd. in Celebrate Virginia South. The proposed 63-acre project includes 762 apartments, the 25,000-square-foot Neon clubhouse/amenity area and 23,000 square feet of commercial space fronting Gordon Shelton. The clubhouse will include a large co-working space that residents or non-residents can join. More details are here.

We look forward to seeing both projects take shape.
