In our fast-paced world, technical skills can get you in the door, but Emotional Intelligence is what makes you a leader, a collaborator, and a resilient professional. In this session, we’ll talk about moving beyond automatic reactions to a more intentional way of working and living with Emotional Intelligence.

Meet the Speaker: Beth Williams,
Executive Director for Human Resources at the University of Mary Washington

Beth Williams is a Human Resources executive, facilitator and certified life and leadership coach. She began her career in Human Resources with an international government contracting firm in the DC area, and has worked in various industries throughout her 30+ year – career. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Human Resources for the University of Mary Washington, her alma mater. Beth also has a broad spectrum of leadership experience in the Fredericksburg community, including service as a board member for Rappahannock United Way and Women United. Beth is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Fredericksburg and has enjoyed working as a mentor for the program in the years since then. Beth’s desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others and the organizations in which she’s worked continues to fuel her career and her coaching.
