On Tuesday, March 1st, the Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) will reopen its doors to the public.

Swing by the museum (907 Princess Anne Street downtown) next week to experience a number of permanent and temporary exhibits, from ‘A River Runs’ to ‘PlayBall! America’s Pastime in Fredericksburg.’ These exhibits showcase the vast history and historical figures of Fredericksburg, which FAM is thrilled to share with the local community and visitors.

In addition to these wonderful exhibits, FAM also has a number of events planned, including an Evening with an Expert Lecture for Women’s History Month. This Evening with an Expert lecture series will run throughout 2022, and will feature a number of renowned speakers. FAM has also initiated a COVID Object Collection. They will be collecting objects and paper items that will help document the COVID-19 pandemic.

FAM also has many educational opportunities for students and educators. These opportunities, including multiple learning resources and school programs, will provide students with the tools required to learn some of the rich history of Fredericksburg.

We are excited for you to once again experience the history of this city at the Fredericksburg Area Museum. Tickets can be bought at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center or at the Museum itself. You can follow FAM on Facebook.
