Fredericksburg EDA makes small-business loan to DuoGlo Esthetics
The latest recipient of an InvestFXBG loan from the Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority (EDA) is DuoGlo Esthetics, a small woman-owned business in Westwood Village shopping center.
On Monday, October 21, 2024 the EDA board unanimously voted to approve a $25,000 loan to provide capital for the start-up business and to assist in hiring an employee for reception and general office management.
DuoGlo Esthetics is owned and operated by Kaelie Haynie and Mryaim (Mimi) Abedeljalil. In founding DuoGlo, Kaelie and Mimi recognized an opportunity in the local industry to offer both full care esthetic services as well as a school for esthetics certification. In 2025, they aim to expand by opening an esthetics school within their existing space, which they believe will address the lack of comprehensive education in the field. Kaelie and Mimi are Licensed Master Estheticians and Licensed Esthetics Instructors with a combined 10+ years of experience in the industry. They describe their partnership as one that thrives on complimentary strengths. Their goal is to create an environment where clients can achieve their best skin yet, and enjoy the process.
Currently, the spa offers consultations and spa treatments to include facials, dermaplaning, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, waxing, lash lifts, and tints.
Congratulations to Kaelie and Mryaim on their amazing location in the City of Fredericksburg!
