FredNats opener on track for April 23
The Fredericksburg Nationals’ stadium project remains on track to be ready for an April 23 home opener.
The FLS reported today that the concrete seating bowl is nearly complete, with the last couple of rows to be poured this week. Construction will then shift to railings and other finishings. The synthetic turf with a traditional dirt infield for the playing surface will be installed shortly thereafter.
To ensure the project remains on track, the Silber family consults with Peter Kirk, a longtime minor-league baseball executive with extensive stadium-building experience.
