FredNats to announce partnership with Germanna
From FredNats news release:
The Fredericksburg Nationals will announce an important community partnership with Germanna Community College at a press conference on Wednesday, February 26 at 11 a.m. at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center.
Germanna and the FredNats will be entering into a unique partnership that will highlight the history of baseball in Fredericksburg and the surrounding region in the new ballpark, while at the same time providing educational opportunities, scholarships, and exhibitions for use by the college and regional students. This program is also supported in conjunction with the FredNats’ partnerships with the Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) and Dovetail Cultural Resource Group (Dovetail), both of whom are providing substantial resources to bring the history of baseball in Fredericksburg to the new ballpark
As a part of their agreement, the FredNats and Germanna will also be announcing the creation of the Jackie Robinson Writing Contest and Scholarship fund, open to all high school students in Fredericksburg and the surrounding counties.
More details regarding the partnership between the Fredericksburg Nationals, Germanna Community College, FAM, and Dovetail will be revealed at the press conference later this month. Representatives from all four organizations will be present.
All parties interested in attending may RSVP to the Fredericksburg Nationals’ Marketing Coordinator, Paige Honaker at [email protected].
