Fredericksburg City Council on Tuesday honored and thanked the people responsible for bringing this year’s enhanced holiday lighting display to Hurkamp Park.

Fredericksburg Mayor Kerry Devine read a proclamation honoring Greenchip Inc., an electronics waste recycler with a large operation on Harkness Boulevard in the City’s industrial park. Greenchip provided the funds for the enhanced lighting at Hurkamp.

Greenchip Managing Partner Bill Monteleone was at the Council meeting to accept the award along with representatives from Italian Station and Red Door Lighting Company — which were also involved with the effort to light up Hurkamp Park.

Thank you so much to all involved with this effort!
