Mama’s Fried Chicken Co. coming to FXBG

This former KFC building at 2211 Plank Road in Fredericksburg is being renovated for Mama’s Fried Chicken Co.

A fast-food restaurant called Mama’s Fried Chicken Co. is planned along State Route 3 in Fredericksburg.

The restaurant is going into the 3,100-square-foot building at 2211 Plank Road, according to a Fredericksburg zoning permit. That building formerly housed a KFC and is now being renovated.

A new Dunkin’ Donuts was recently built near that building. Two additional new restaurants are also coming soon to that area: El Rey Mexican Bar & Restaurant at 2229 Plank Road and Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop at 2203 Plank Road.
