Plans moving forward on One Hanover
Significant progress has been made on the One Hanover project at the intersection of Sophia and Hanover streets in downtown Fredericksburg, father-son team Tommy and Hunter Mitchell said Tuesday. Their remarks came at the quarterly Fredericksburg Economic Development Breakfast at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel. One Hanover will include 24 upper-level apartments that could someday be converted to condominiums, about 15,000 square feet of restaurant space with patios overlooking Riverfront Park and the Rappahannock River, about 45 parking spaces and two small retail spaces on the ground level. The Mitchells are working with Baskervill on the plans, and Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer on commercial leasing. Tommy Mitchell said he believes the project in the 700 block of Sophia Street could be the impetus for additional improvements along Sophia. He hopes to begin work this fall.
