Red Dragon Mark PerrySince 2015, Mark Perry has been one of the co-owners of Red Dragon Brewery, mainly as a silent partner. But recently, Perry has stepped up to fully take the reins of the business, now owning 95% of the brewery.

“I’ve learned everything from small-patching beer, to production and distribution,” he said.

Perry, who also owns part of Railhouse Brewery in North Carolina, is a pilot by trade. Mainly focusing his work in Asia, he splits his time between traveling the skies and brewing beer. With Red Dragon now under his primary ownership, Perry is focusing his goals towards improving, in his words, an already well-oiled machine.

“My stress-level goes up a little bit more,” Perry joked. He noted that during the pandemic, many breweries struggled with both a lack of customers and supply chain issues. Following the pandemic, now that Red Dragon is in a great place, Perry intends to utilize the brewing resources to improve the beer quality to be even better than it already is.

This Saturday, February 3rd at 6pm, Red Dragon Brewery will be holding an event called “From Flames to Flavor,” where they will celebrate their new ownership and release two beers: a new imperial barrel-aged stout called Chief McStache (named after a veteran who Perry served with in the Army), and the re-release of one of Red Dragon’s original beers, Road Rash Red. Perry is excited to welcome guests to his new event, and cannot wait to bring a new era of beer and excitement to Red Dragon Brewery.

“We’re here to support the community,” Perry said, “just as we always have.”
