Virginia Tourism Corporation Releases Direct Visitor Spending in the State

Trolley on street in front of Rising Sun Tavern with woman wavingVirginia Tourism Corporation released the direct visitor spending in 2023 for each locality in the state.  According to VTC’s website: “Direct visitor spending measures the amount of expenditures spent by visitors in each locality.” The City of Fredericksburg saw an increase of 4.1% over 2022 at $151.20 (in millions) and a 3.1% increase since 2019.
