Virginia’s Tax Free Weekend Returning Aug 6-8

There’s only one thing better than a 3-day weekend, and that’s Virginia’s 3-day sales tax holiday weekend!

Beginning Friday, August 8 at 12:01 a.m. and ending on Sunday, August 8 at 11:59 p.m., shop eligible products free of Virginia’s state and local tax (5.3%). Eligible products include:

• Qualified school supplies – $20 or less per item.
• Qualified clothing and footwear – $100 or less per item.
• Hurricane and emergency preparedness products, including portable generators ($1,000 or less per item); gas-powered chainsaws ($350 or less per item); other qualified items ($60 or less per item).
• Energy Star and WaterSense Products for personal use – $2,500 or less per item
