Multi-level go-kart track coming to Fun-Land
A Fredericksburg amusement park is planning a new name and the first multi-level go-kart track in Virginia.
Central Park Fun-Land will become Fun-Land of Fredericksburg within a few months, company executives announced last week. Next year, the business plans to debut a $1.2 million go-kart track that will be 27-feet high and 1,872 feet long. It will replace the current Grand Prix Track and allow for more go-karts (21) at a time. Fun-Land hopes to start construction on the track, pending city approval, within about a month and open it by March.
The new track is the latest step Fun-Land is taking to re-invent itself. In the past two years, the business has spent more than $2 million on upgrades and additions including a point-of-sale system, entertainment-card system, carpet, bumper cars, bowling lanes, bathrooms, climbing walls, virtual reality game, “Twist n Shout Spin” roller coaster and 30 new arcade games.
Fun-Land is located at 1351 Central Park Blvd. in Fredericksburg’s Central Park shopping center.
