An article called “60 Years of the Civil Rights Act on the Trail of the American Civil Rights Movement in the Capital Region USA” appeared in the June edition of Unterwegs magazine, a German travel publication that reaches 81,000 subscribers.

Invited by Virginia Tourism Corporation to be part of the Virginia delegation, city staff traveled to Montgomery and Selma, Alabama to participate in the United States Civil Rights Trail Marketing Alliance Connectivity Pilgrimage.
