Bowman Consulting moving to Central Park, continuing positive trend
Bowman Consulting plans to move its local office into a roughly 8,500-square-foot former restaurant space in Fredericksburg’s Central Park shopping center late this year. The engineering and land-planning firm has leased the former Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant building at 1300 Central Park Blvd. It will be converted into a modern office, Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer broker Jamie Scully told The Free Lance-Star. Scully and several other local investors own the building through SMD Investments LLC.
This is the third recent example of former retail/restaurant space along Central Park Boulevard being converted into professional office/training space, bringing high-quality jobs and educational opportunities to Fredericksburg’s mixed-use power center. QRC Technologies recently leased the entire former Sport & Health Club at 1191 Central Park Blvd., a roughly 29,000-square-foot space that is now QRC’s corporate headquarters. Germanna Community College leased about 8,000 square feet at 1325 Central Park Blvd. for its Fredericksburg Center for Advanced Technology (FredCAT). The Free Lance-Star and several other professional office users have also recently relocated to the nearby Central Park Corporate Center.
