InFirst FCU to open Central Park branch
An Alexandria-based federal credit union in April purchased a former bank branch in Fredericksburg’s Central Park shopping center and plans to open there this summer.
InFirst Federal Credit Union plans to open a branch with a drive-up ATM sometime around August 1 at the former BB&T location at 1151 Carl D. Silver Parkway. The member-owned credit union bought the 2,728-square-foot building last month for $1,575,000 from Mach II MCB Silver Portfolio, according to Fredericksburg land records. A thorough renovation to the Central Park property is now under way both inside and out.
InFirst FCU was chartered in 1935 and has more than 11,000 members and assets of approximately $170 million. It has branch locations and ATMs in King George County and in the Washington area.
