A new destination for music lovers has arrived in the heart of Fredericksburg! Bumrush Vinyl Shop, located at 2225 Plank Rd, is now open, offering a diverse and carefully curated selection of vinyl records for collectors and casual listeners alike.

Two families have owned Tire Tread Service since the business was born, 80 years ago. The original location was at the site where the downtown Post Office (on Princess Anne Street) is currently situated. Now they are nestled on a side street at the offer end of Princess Anne at 311 Bridgewater Street.

In mid-March, her office hosted a regional Voter Registrars Association of Virginia Conference, here in Fredericksburg. Happily, the “turnout” was at an all-time high. Our Economic Development and Tourism (ED&T) office was excited to lend a hand.

Back before Eagle Village, when we called it “The Park and Shop,” there weren’t a robust number of restaurant options in Fredericksburg. In the 80’s – The Parthenon Restaurant was a staple and a favorite among college students and families. A beautiful Greek-inspired mural adorned the wall, and the amazing smell of Greek and Italian dishes, drifted out the door…and the Pizza was simply amazing! And by the way, it still is!
