What’s my story and what inspired me to open an art studio?
Growing up as a first-generation American in a family that had recently emigrated from Argentina, I understood the value of opportunity from a young age. My siblings and I were the first in our family to attend college, and though I spent years as an executive assistant, a part of me always felt drawn to something more creative. Art had been a distant dream in my childhood—something I couldn’t fully explore because of financial limitations. It wasn’t until I met the young daughter of a former partner, a shy little four-year-old, that my love for art began to resurface. Through crafting together, we formed an incredible bond, and I realized just how powerful art could be in creating connections and self-expression. Those moments reminded me of the joy and healing that creativity can bring, and it inspired me to open this studio—a place where others, regardless of age or background, can discover the magic of making things with their hands. Now, my studio is more than just a workspace; it’s a space dedicated to giving others the chance to explore and create, especially those who might never have had that opportunity growing up.
